Russell & Rebekah are MARRIED! These two had a beautiful, intimate wedding day, last Saturday! Although it may not be the wedding day that they originally planned, it was beautiful just the same! Russell and Rebekah decided that this pandemic wasn’t going to get in the way of them getting married! They had their immediate family attend, plus myself during their ceremony, here in Grande Prairie. They set up a tripod to live steam their wedding ceremony, online for all their family and friends to see! Although they were not there in person, they were all celebrating with them, in spirit, online. This blog post is only part 1 of their love story! Once the social distancing restrictions have been lifted, Russell and Rebekah will be having a big celebration where they can hug all of their loved ones. I know that they cannot wait for that day to come!
Something that truly stood out to me is their strong faith and connection with God. Before their ceremony, Russell & Rebekah did a “blind first look” where they held hands between a wall. Their parents joined from both sides, praying for this sweet couple and their future together. It was so touching to see their loving parents join them in prayer, just minutes before their ceremony.
Seeing these two marry each other was such a joy to photograph, for so many reasons!!! They are such a kind, caring couple. Russell is always making Rebekah smile, which happened in many moments of their wedding day, from their ceremony all throughout their wedding day! When these two began their relationship as friends, Russell told Rebekah that he was going to marry her someday and he was right!
Towards the end of our time together, that day, we made our way to Starbucks where Russell would always go see her as she worked there! It was such a fun time getting to document this part of their love story (and their love for Starbucks too)!
Russell and Rebekah, congratulations again on this new adventure! It was a privilege and pleasure to document the first day of it. I am so grateful for the trust you placed in me and I am so excited to share some of my favorite moments and memories with you! We can’t wait to celebrate your marriage and love for one another, with all of your family and friends, again soon! We already know it’s going to be spectacular!

Loved joining in Russell’s dog in a few of their bride and groom portraits! So much fun!
A part of their story involves Starbucks…. so of course we had to snap some cute bride and groom portraits there, too! Russell would always go see Rebekah while she worked at Starbucks, so sweet!
Thank you to this amazing creative team for making their day so beautiful!
