Keegan’s and Nicola’s big day was such a joy to photograph. Their guests and family had waited so long for this day to come, especially after postponing their big day one year later. These two decided to get married in New Zealand to make it all official, then one year later, celebrated their wedding in Canada where Nicola has been dreaming to have their wedding on their family farm – A place very dear to her that her grandmother once owned.
Leading up to their day, there was a 80%-90% chance of rain. Although it did in fact rain the morning of, by late afternoon, the clouds were lighter and the sun came out in spurts. About an hour before Ceremony, the couple decided to keep their wedding outdoors on the family farm as the weather was looking to be great! We were all so glad it turned out to be this way as getting married on the farm was very important to Nicola!!
Aesthetically, everything was so beautiful. There were trees from all directions. Lilacs tucked on the side of the house Nicola and Keegan got ready in, that morning. The light was dreamy and there was a beautiful field nearby, accentuating the cloudy sky. Their bouquets had pops of yellow with light greenery. As you can imagine, I had fun getting creative for their big day with all of these elements!
All in all, their wedding day was a mix of love, laughter and connection and I enjoyed capturing it all. Keegan & Nicola, thank you for choosing me to be your photographer and capturing your story! Enjoying reliving your amazing day!!
