Seeing my cousin, Megan, get married this weekend was truly a joy. A day I will always remember. If you have been following me for a while, you may recognize these two from their engagement session in Newfoundland, last fall! I got to spend time with them for a week taking their photos, exploring some of the most beautiful locations on the east coast. But most importantly, I got to know JD and my cousin Megan more as a couple. The more I got to know them, the more I knew how perfect they are for each other! Through our time spent together, I noticed how much joy they bring to each other. They both love board games (my favorite), cuddling their cats, exploring together and always enjoying the simple things in life.
They got married on Megan’s parent’s acreage and couldn’t have been more spectacular. It was extra special because my auntie Corinne and Uncle Blain got married on the same property, many years ago. The weather was perfect and these two were so full of excitement and joy! I remember visiting my cousin Megan so many times as a kid, building forts in their yard, multiple family gatherings during Christmas time and so much more. This time, it was her wedding day and I couldn’t be more thrilled to spend this day alongside of them, as a photographer, cousin and friend.
JD and Megan, I am so incredibly happy for you two. When I look at these photos, I see a couple so full of life, love and joy. It was evident that you two truly enjoyed your day to the fullest and it was an honor for being chosen to capture it all. Congratulations to the two of you, and welcome to the family, JD!!!
